Happy 61st Birthday to my mom, Suzie Donahue!!!!

Ten true things about Suzie!

1.  She grew up on a farm in Southwestern Georgia about 30 minutes outside of the town of Americus

(the farm she grew up on)

2.  When I was a teenager she used to drive me into Baltimore City or Washington DC to go see independent films that would never play in the suburbs.

3.  She found a baby mockingbird in our laundry once and nursed it back to health.  She named it Emma after her favorite actress Emma Thompson.

4.  She gives her pets human names.

5.  She was a history teacher for a while.

6.  She's been to Asia, Europe and the Middle East

8.  She is Shelter Manager and Past President of the Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation (AARF)

9.  She takes care of the feral cat population on the grounds of Cap Juluca resort.  Running the Spay/Neuter release program.

10.  When she was 18 she changed the spelling of her name from Susan to Suzan because she thought it looked cooler
